L’Arte di ASMAA HARIMI
La Biografia
Asmaa Harimi is a contemporary abstract expressionist artist based in the United Kingdom. Originally from Casablanca, Morocco, she completed a Fine Arts programme at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, where she developed a strong foundation in painting, composition and contemporary artistic practice.
Working primarily with acrylic, oil, oil sticks, charcoal and mixed media on canvas, Asmaa creates expressive, layered compositions that explore emotion, memory and the complexity of the human experience. Her paintings are characterised by rich textures, dynamic mark-making and the interplay between colour, texture and fragments of language, inviting viewers to discover their own interpretations and emotional connections.
Inspired by human emotion, everyday experiences and the dialogue between spontaneity and control, her work balances instinct with thoughtful composition. Rather than representing a specific subject, each painting encourages personal interpretation, allowing every viewer to engage with the work in their own unique way.
Her work has been presented in exhibitions in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy and France, and is held in private collections. She continues to develop her practice through thematic collections and new exhibition opportunities while remaining committed to creating authentic, emotionally engaging contemporary abstract art
