Biografia

My art adventure has started in my early childhood years. I won more than 80 prizes from painting contests in many countries including Türkiye, the United States of America, France, Finland, Japan and India. In highschool years, I received 2 year of scholarship from Fashion Art School in İzmir, and focused on fashion sector as a hobby. At the end of my education there, I won the scholarship of LaSalle College by being in the place in the contest of young designers which is organized by Hey Girl Magazine in 2001.

In 2014, I truely wanted to focus on a branch of art which would make me happy with its material and tools. After some trials and fails, I was amazed by the glass mosaic art. In 2015, I attended to Luciana Notturni’s Mosaic Art School. As soon as I came back to my home, I established Spica Artworks as the result of my adventure with mosaic.

While my academic background is rooted in Radio, TV and Cinema as well as Public Relations, Marketing and a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication (completed in Turkey and the U.S.), I have since transitioned my Professional path to specialize in fine arts. I integrate an intercultural perspective into my art.

I believe in that art is a spiritual journey which heals us. In this journey, intercultural symbols and signs throughout the world are the most precious guides of our universe. Colors are also part of this universe to unite us. That’s why, I enjoy creating symbols and signs with a variety of colors and interpret new versions of them. Through Spica Artworks, I focus on intercultural concepts and the spitirual themes such as symbolism and World mythology  in my glass mosaicworks. I have received commissions as well as turning my dreams into reality in glass mosaic since 2015.
